Proud Parents

August 17, 2007

I know I mentioned it in an earlier post, but on January 17th of 2007, my wife and I became the proud parents of a beautiful, healthy baby girl, Jorryn. Mother went into labor on the worst wintry night Oklahoma City has had in the last 20 years. Her contractions were 30-45 minutes apart for about 8 hours, not quite frequent enough to rush to the hospital. Needless to say, mom was worn out before we ever even got to the hospital. On our journey to the hospital, in the treacherous snow covered icy roads, we were stopped by a city policeman because we seemed to be driving faster than we should have been. Luckily he didn’t write a ticket to the freaked out man, whose wife was about to give birth. Thankfully, that was the most dramatic part of the experience, save the actual birth itself. When arrived at the hospital, we got checked in, and were taken quickly to a room, where several photos and several hours later, we were blessed by her arrival.

Happy Birthday little cutie!

Dad.
